These terms apply when you have Delarm’s Auto Body Inc. (“Delarm’s Auto”, “we”, “us”) inspect, estimate, repair, tow or store your vehicle, and when you use delarmsauto.com. Leaving a vehicle with us, signing a repair order, or authorizing work by phone, text or email means you accept them.

Estimates and authorization

An estimate is our best assessment of the visible damage and the work we expect it to need. It is not a final bill. We do not begin repairs until you authorize them, in writing on a repair order or by phone, text or email. You may authorize the repair yourself or direct us to work with your insurer.

Additional damage found during the repair

Collision damage is frequently hidden until a vehicle is disassembled. If we find damage beyond the original estimate, we stop, document it, and submit a supplement to you or your insurer for approval before continuing. We do not perform unapproved work, and a supplement does not change your deductible. Supplements can extend the completion date, and we tell you as soon as we know.

Parts

We will tell you what type of part is being used, whether new original equipment, recycled, reconditioned or aftermarket, and where an insurer has specified a particular type. If you would prefer a different part than the one your insurer will pay for, you may choose it and pay the difference. Parts carry only the warranty offered by their manufacturer.

Insurance claims

The choice of repair shop is yours under New York law. We are an independent shop and are not a party to your insurance contract. We will work directly with your insurer, document the repair and negotiate the repair plan, but your policy governs what is covered, and any amount an insurer declines to pay remains your responsibility.

Payment and collection

Payment is due in full when the vehicle is collected unless we have agreed otherwise in writing. Deductibles are payable to us, not to your insurer. We accept cash, check and major credit cards. We may hold a vehicle until payment clears and, where the law allows, may place a lien on a vehicle that has not been paid for.

Storage

Vehicles left after we have told you the work is finished may be charged daily storage at our posted rate. Vehicles left for an extended period after completion, and vehicles whose owners we are unable to reach, may be treated as abandoned and disposed of as New York law permits.

Personal property

Please remove personal belongings before leaving your vehicle with us. We are not responsible for personal property left in or on a vehicle, including items in the trunk, glove box or bed.

Our guarantee

We guarantee our workmanship for as long as you own the vehicle. The guarantee covers the quality of the work we performed. It does not cover normal wear, later damage, rust originating outside the repair area, work performed elsewhere, or the failure of parts supplied by others. Bring the vehicle back to us and we will make it right.

Towing and roadside service

Towing and recovery are available 24 hours a day. Charges are based on distance, equipment and conditions, and are quoted before dispatch wherever possible. A driver may decline a recovery they judge unsafe to attempt.
